This course will take you through the fundamentals of localizing dyspnea. The physiological process of localizing dyspnea will be discussed along with the diagnostic approach and treatment for the dyspneic patient. To earn a certificate of completion the participant must complete all learning modules and score 80% or better on the end-of-course test. Completion of the course will take a minimum of 55 minutes. Participants must complete the participation requirements by June 30, 2023 to be eligible for a certificate. Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- To review relevant pathophysiology of respiratory distress.
- To identify a practical approach to the localizing dyspnea in a patient with respiratory distress.
- To develop a logical and medically sound treatment plan for a dyspneic patient.
Level and Prerequisites: This basic drip.vet/VIN CE self-study course is open for enrollment to veterinarians actively interested in Localizing Dyspnea. This course is open to VIN members only.
Accreditation: This non-interactive course is approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit by RACE for veterinarians. (RACE 20-843074)
